Tim Dockery, Managing Director

Mr. Dockery is a Managing Director of the Anka Funds. Mr. Dockery has worked with Cherokee Investment Partners since 2002, serving on investment, deal review and asset management calls and meetings. In addition to his middle market distressed transaction analysis work at Cherokee, Mr. Dockery also assisted Cherokee in the project management of several existing Cherokee assets in the Southeast and Texas. In addition to his work with Cherokee, Mr. Dockery has sourced, invested in and managed well over 100 transactions, mostly in the Southeast, which include purchases from bankruptcies, foreclosure and other distressed situations and span product types from retail, residential, mixed use, hotel and office. As a result of this success, Mr. Dockery has built strong, loyal relationships with large stable of national end-user tenants, particularly in the retail space. As the founder and Member/Manager of The Crown Companies, LLC, Mr. Dockery is involved in all areas of real estate development, construction, finance, and management. He also enjoys excellent insurance and banking relationships with much of his business coming from repeat lenders. In 1986, Mr. Dockery began his real estate career with Town and Country Builders, a retail and residential development company. He and two colleagues founded Granite Development, Ltd. In 1987, While at Granite Development, Mr. Dockery acted as owner and developer for properties throughout the Southeast. In 2000, Mr. Dockery left Granite Development to form The Crown Companies with offices in Dobson and Cary, North Carolina. Mr. Dockery is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill holding a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree.
