Michael McMahan, Managing Director

Mr. McMahan is a Managing Director of the Anka Funds. Prior to Anka, Mr. McMahan held various senior positions during his 21-year career at Bank of America and its predecessor, NationsBank, including serving as Managing Director of Bank of America’s Global Corporate and Investment Bank (“GCIB”). In such capacity, Mr. McMahan participated in underwriting and closing over $12 billion of transactions. In addition to his direct management responsibilities for all aspects of origination and certain syndication activities, Mr. McMahan was responsible for partnering with GCIB’s risk management, asset management and financial reporting departments and for implementing certain strategic efforts related to the Banc of America Leasing and Capital Group, including the launch of the ultimate $10 billion Hatteras Funding Corporation. More recently, Mr. McMahan was a Senior Financial Advisor to various Cherokee Investment Partners entities, where he assisted with project financing involving senior debt, mezzanine and tax increment financings as well as other project financing opportunities. Mr. McMahan has experience in restructuring assets and has negotiated financing transactions utilizing a broad network of financial institutions. Mr. McMahan received a B.S. and M.B.A. from East Carolina University.
