Wes Evans, Managing Director

Mr. Evans is a Managing Director of Anka Funds. Focusing on Anka’s Sustainable Distribution Company, he brings with him over 35 years experience creating, developing, implementing and managing creative sales, marketing and sustainable strategies for some of the world’s most innovative and successful companies like Burroughs, Xerox, Herman Miller and eTc Holdings, Ltd. He joined Herman Miller in 1983 a leader in sustainable office furnishings, where he provided strong visionary leadership in the development of new markets and distribution channels. At Herman Miller, he established a distribution network, a new sales and training and strategic selling process and an award-winning e-commercie initiative that was named one of the “Top 100” most profitable US online companies. These activities generated nearly $200 million in incremental revenues for the company. In addition to his proven skills in developing and implementing powerful sales, marketing and distribution strategies, Mr. Evans brings passion and a keen understanding of sustainability issues and opportunities. He was the first field based member of Herman Miller’s Environmental Quality Action Team and one of the first LEED Accredited Professionals in the country. His passionate leadership helped start two USGBC Chapters where he served multiple terms on their Boards and currently serves on the Board of The Green Standard organization.

After retiring from Herman Miller, Mr. Evans served as Executive Vice President of Matrix Technology Alliance Inc., a 501 (c) (3) charitable non-profit organization dedicated to advancing triple bottom line sustainable development. In addition to his management responsibilities, Mr. Evans helped design sustainable economic development models for diverse groups of stakeholders in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, The US Virgin Islands and Haiti. While at Matrix, Mr. Evans helped found eTc Holdings, Ltd., a private company that employs green technologies and triple bottom line principles of economic development to create sustainable micro-economies. Under his direction and leadership the company evolved from concept to start up. Mr. Evans received his B.B.A – Finance degree from Florida Atlantic University where he graduated with honors in 1973.
